Thank you for your interest in the Psalm 34:8
cooking series. As your host and cooking teacher I
would like to share with you my culinary background.
I attended Johnson & Wales University in
Providence, Rhode Island and The Restaurant School in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania. I graduated with a degree in Culinary Arts. I have also attended
food styling workshops at The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New
York.
Since 1996 I have worked as a freelance food
stylist, a position that requires the preparation and execution of food shoots
for television or video venues. For seven seasons, I was the food stylist for
Banyan Productions for the “Home Matters” daytime
show, which aired on the Discovery Channel. I was
also a food stylist for the “Epicurious” and
“Christina Cooks” shows. Most recently I have worked as a food
stylist in the QVC broadcast kitchen. It has been my privilege to work with
many food professionals, including Lidia Bastianich, Ina
Garten, Marianne Esposito, Natalie Dupree, Marcel DeSaulniers, and Martin Yan.
I have also had the opportunity to style food for such wonderful cookbook
authors as Anne Byrn, Steve Raichlen, Molly O’Neil, and Judy
Rosenberg.
I am humbled that the Lord would allow me to use
culinary arts to serve Him. During our time together, I hope you will indeed……
“Taste and See That the Lord is Good.”
